Welcome to the TKD Kabel GmbH customer portal!

The aim of our customer portal is to offer registered customers a certain added value. However, you naturally have the option of doing business with us independently of registering in our customer portal. We would therefore like to point out that registration in our customer portal is voluntary and is not necessary for the conclusion of a transaction between you and us.

We take the issue of data protection very seriously and endeavor to protect your privacy. We therefore process your personal data exclusively in compliance with the applicable data protection laws.

By personal data, we mean all data relating to the personal and factual circumstances of a natural person. Personal data collected on our website is used exclusively for our own purposes.

3. Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for data processing within the framework of the EU General Data Protection Regulation is derived from Art. 6 GDPR. Depending on the situation in which we process your data, there may be different legal bases.

Consent
Insofar as your consent has been obtained for the processing of personal data, Article 6 I a) GDPR is the legal basis for data processing. Any consent given can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Contract
Article 6 I b) GDPR is the legal basis for the processing of personal data collected for the performance of a contract to which you are a party. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures.

Legal obligation
Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6 I c) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

Vital interests
In the event that vital interests of you or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Article 6 I d) GDPR is the legal basis.

Legitimate interest
If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the former interest, Article 6 I f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing. The legitimate interest of our company lies in the performance of our business activities.


4. Rights of data subjects

The rights from the third chapter of the GDPR vis-à-vis our company.

You have

  • in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, the right to request information about your personal data processed by us to the extent specified therein; 
  • in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, the right to demand the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us; 
  • in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, the right to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless further processing is necessary - to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information; - to fulfill a legal obligation; - for reasons of public interest or - to assert, exercise or defend legal claims; 
  • in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if - the accuracy of the data is disputed by you; - the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it; - we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or - you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR; 
  • in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another controller; 
  • in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters

5. Registration

Access to our customer portal is only available to registered users. Registration and the creation of a customer account are therefore required to access our customer portal.

The following data is mandatory for registration: 

  • E-Mail Adress 
  • Name 
  • Surname 
  • Full company name

As part of the registration process, you will also be asked to set a password. You can then use the password you have chosen and your e-mail address to log in to our customer portal at any time in the future.

The data you provide during registration will be used exclusively to enable you to access our customer portal and to verify your registration for our customer portal.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the context of registration is our legitimate interest in the provision of convenient and secure operation of our systems in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.


6. Customer account and use of functions

To make full use of all the functions of our customer portal and benefit from the exclusive advantages, you may need to provide us with additional data, depending on the function.

Among other things, the following information may be required to use certain functions and services: 

  • Company address 
  • HRB and VAT ID no. 
  • Your role in the company

The data you provide will be processed as far as necessary exclusively in the context of providing the functions you use or to provide the services you have requested.

Which data is mandatory for the use of certain functions or to request certain services and which data you can provide us with voluntarily so that we can provide you with a better customer experience can be found in the respective functions within the customer portal. Mandatory information is always marked with an asterisk (*).

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the context of the functions you use or the services you request may be Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR if your use of the functions of our customer portal or the requests for one of our services provided in the context of the customer portal is related to the performance of a contract, the implementation of pre-contractual measures or the implementation of post-contractual measures.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the context of the functions you use or the services you have requested may in certain cases also be our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

Insofar as processing is only permitted on the basis of your express consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data. If your express consent is required, we will obtain this at the appropriate point in the customer portal and inform you separately of the voluntary nature of your consent and inform you of your right to withdraw it at any time. You will receive information on the legal basis on which we process your personal data within the scope of the individual functions and services when using the individual functions or when requesting certain services.


7. Log-In

If data is collected as part of a user login, it is only used to provide the respective service. An evaluation is only carried out to ensure convenient and secure operation of the system.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the context of the log-in is our legitimate interest in the provision of convenient and secure operation of our systems in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

8. Contact form

You can use the contact forms available in our customer portal to send us any data you wish. The data is forwarded from our web server by e-mail to our company's e-mail inbox.
The following data is also stored at the time the message is sent: 

  • Your IP address 
  • Date and time the message was sent 


Please note that communication via the contact form is not encrypted. Please use a secure communication channel for confidential communication in your own interest. Alternatively, you can contact us via one of the e-mail addresses provided.

By sending your message, you consent to us processing your personal data in order to process your contact request. You can object to the processing at any time and without giving reasons. Please note, however, that if you withdraw your consent, we will no longer be able to deal with your request.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR, insofar as it concerns a contact request.

Insofar as contact is made in connection with the initiation or execution of a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

9. Newsletter & Marketing

By registering for our customer portal, you agree that we may send you our newsletter and other information about our company and our offers to the e-mail address you have provided.

Of course, you have the option of withdrawing your consent at any time without giving reasons with effect for the future. You can do this by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter email.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the context of our newsletter and marketing measures is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a).


10. Webserverlogs

When you use our website, the connection information is stored in the server log files. 

This information includes: 

  • IP address of the accessing system Browser information (operating system used and screen resolution) 
  • accessed website 
  • Original website 
  • Time of the call 


Die Web server logs are processed exclusively for security purposes. We only use the log data for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the website. However, we reserve the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use based on concrete evidence

11. Cookies

This website and all its subpages use cookies and other comparable tracking technologies, such as tracking pixels or Local Stroage Objects (LSO).

Cookies are text files that are stored on your end device. Cookies can be read, transferred and changed by the website when the website is accessed.

We use both so-called “first-party cookies”, i.e. cookies that are controlled by the company that operates the domain on which the cookies are set, and so-called “third-party cookies”. The latter are controlled by third parties and help us to analyze the impact of our website content and the interests of our visitors, to measure the performance of our website or to display needs-based advertising and other content on our or other websites.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit or browser session (so-called transient cookies). 12. Borlabs

As part of the customer portal, we use the Consent Management System of Borlabs GmbH, Hamburger Str. 11, 22083 Hamburg, Germany, to manage your consent to cookies and third-party services requiring consent.

Your cookie preferences are logged and stored via consent management so that we can implement your selection accordingly and prove that you have given your consent.

For logging purposes, a cookie is set to collect and store the following data: 

  • Cookie runtime 
  • Cookie Version 
  • Domain and path of the WordPress website 
  • Consents 
  • UID


This data is stored and processed exclusively for the purpose of implementing the selection you have made and to be able to prove that you have given your consent.

The legal basis for the processing is our legal obligation to obtain consent for cookies and third-party services requiring consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

13. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analysis service of Google Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The cookies contain information about interactions that are tracked when you use the website.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The US intelligence services can gain access to this data as part of their extensive legal surveillance powers. According to Google, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area by means of automatic IP anonymization before it is processed in the USA. However, your full IP address may also be transmitted to a Google server in the USA so that US intelligence services can access this data.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. In addition, Google's own processing, which is not defined in more detail by Google, is intended to provide and protect the Analytics service. However, we have not released any data to Google for its own processing using the data release settings.

The following parameters are recorded by default for each event:

The legal basis for our data collection with the Google Analytics software is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR, which you can revoke at any time with effect for the future using the procedure described above.

Your data will be deleted automatically after 6 months. Data that has reached the end of its retention period is automatically deleted once a month.

14. Salesviewer

We use SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH, Universitätsstraße 60, 44789 Bochum, Germany, as part of the customer portal.

A javascript-based code is used as part of the application, which is used to collect company-related data. The data collected is used by us for marketing and market research purposes, as well as to optimize our offer. The data collected using this technology is encrypted using a non-reversible one-way function (known as hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymized and is not used to personally identify visitors to our customer portal.

The data collected by the SalesViewer technology will not be linked to your personal customer account at any time.

The data stored in the context of Salesviewer will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations.

The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in the optimization of our offers in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.
